Tasmania is experiencing great days in terms of growth. The opportunities in front of us are bigger than ever.

“Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” (Luke 5:4–5)

Jesus said these words to professional fisherman – men with skill and experience – but it was their recent experience that had diminished their passion and will to go again.

We’re in ministry because we’re passionate about seeing people find hope and purpose in Jesus. We have skill and experience but so often it’s our recent or not so recent experiences that dampen our passion. It was Peter’s willingness to trust and take a step of faith that saw the miracle as he launched again into the deep.

Let’s launch or, in some cases, go again. Let’s be led by faith and our calling in Christ. Launch into the deep – our best catch isn’t far away!

Ps Wayne Alcorn
